Increase Your Self-Love and Self-Esteem Through Your Spiritual Journey

Before we look at relationships, timing, or destiny…before we explore past lives or the space between lives…

There is a quieter place to begin.

Your heart

  • Not the romantic heart.

  • Not the wounded heart.

  • Not even the hopeful heart

  • Let's begin in the energetic heart — the place within you that holds your beliefs about yourself.

A while back I wrote this in my journal:

“Look into your heart and see that which you are drawing to yourself. What do you see? This is the energy of your own heart and is what you are drawing to yourself.”

When I first reflected on this, I didn’t experience it as criticism. I experienced it as clarity.

We often focus on external explanations for what shows up in our lives — fate, karma, divine timing, soul contracts. And yes, those spiritual layers can absolutely be part of the story.

But in my coaching work — whether exploring past lives or the between-lives space or clearing with SRT— something gently consistent appears:

We tend to draw experiences that resonate with our energetic blue print or how we see ourselves.

  • Not because we are doing something wrong.

  • Not because we deserve difficulty.

  • Simply because our inner world quietly shapes our outer one.

Each heart carries energetic patterns formed by:

  • Our self-image

  • Our level of self-worth

  • Past and present life emotional experiences

  • What we’ve learned about love

  • What we believe we are worthy of receiving

And much of this lives below our conscious awareness.

Learning to increase your self-love and self-esteem through your spiritual journey begins not with force — but with curiosity.

A Softer Way to See Relationships

On that same journal page, I wrote:

“When we judge a couple as mismatched, we judge from what we see on the outside. It's what is in their hearts regarding themselves — their self-view, self-love, and self-esteem — that magnetizes them to each other.”

Have you ever looked at a couple and wondered how they ended up together?

From the outside, they may seem very different. But relationships form from energetic compatibility. or shared emotional resonance, not surface traits.

Sometimes:

  • One person’s insecurity resonates with another’s need to feel needed.

  • One person’s guardedness resonates with another’s fear of closeness.

  • Or two people who have done deep inner work resonate in mutual respect.

We don’t magnetize based on appearances.

We magnetize based on self-concept.

  • It isn’t about blame.

  • It’s about alignment.

And when we understand that, something empowering happens: We realize we are not stuck. We are participating.

What This Means for Your Healing Journey

In sessions exploring past lives or the between-lives state, we often ask:

  • Why do certain patterns repeat?

  • Why does this dynamic feel familiar?

  • Is this karmic?

Sometimes there are past-life threads. Sometimes there are soul-level lessons unfolding.

These often uncover present-life beliefs that are quietly shaping our experiences.

Some examples are:

  • A belief that love requires over-giving.

  • A belief that being chosen requires shrinking.

  • A belief that conflict means abandonment.

These beliefs aren’t flaws. They are protective strategies your heart once created to feel safe.

The invitation isn’t to judge them.

It’s to gently update them.

As your self-love grows, your tolerance for misalignment naturally decreases.

As your self-esteem strengthens, what feels attractive begins to shift.

This is not about “fixing yourself.”

It’s about remembering your worth.

A Gentle Practice

Instead of asking, “Why does this keep happening to me?”

We can ask, “What might this be showing me about how I see myself?”

Then soften even that question:

“What part of me is asking to be loved more deeply?”

By slowing down and looking honestly you might discover:

  • A need for reassurance

  • A fear of being unseen

  • A habit of self-doubt

  • Or a quiet strength ready to emerge

Your life is not judging you.

It is reflecting you.

Reflections are gifts — because they give you the power to choose differently.

Spiritual Growth Without Self-Blame

True spiritual growth is not about striving to be higher, better, or more evolved.

It is about becoming more conscious about what is in your heart.

More compassionate with yourself.

More willing to see what is ready to shift.

When your inner frequency changes — even subtly — your experiences respond.

Not instantly.

Not magically.

But steadily.

As you increase your self-love and self-esteem through your spiritual journey, you may notice:

  • Different types of people feel aligned.

  • Old dynamics lose their pull.

  • Healthy boundaries feel more natural.

  • Peace feels more familiar.

Not because fate changed.

Because you are relating to yourself differently.

A Question to Sit With

If your current relationships and life circumstances are gentle mirrors…

What are they inviting you to strengthen within yourself?

And what would shift if you treated yourself with just 10% more compassion this week?

This is where transformation quietly begins.
